‘Sourdough’ is the new one from Born Joy Dead, a four-piece indie rock band from Brissy who dropped their debut EP Stones In My Shoe last year.

It’s a rippling, tranquil sound on this one, but it masks some not-so-joyous lyrics dealing with the daily grind of working a job you hate.

Former Hungry Kids of Hungary bassist Ben Dalton fronts the outfit, and the track was produced by Miro Mackie (Jeremy Neale, The John Steel Singers) at The Plutonium studios, which was built recently by The John Steel Singers.

They recently dropped another single, ‘Chains On You’, and have their sophomore EP on the way this year. Until then, you can catch them playing a show at Brisbane’s Black Bear Lodge on September 1, tickets on sale now.
