Melbourne Shoegazers Contrast have been on our watch list ever single the release of understated, though completely enthralling 2014 EP Less Than Zero.

The band are now back with a brand new single titled ‘Livewire’. Driving along with krautrock familiarity and the band’s trademark laid-back attitude it’s a perfect encapsulation of the incredible talent of Australia’s most underrated acts.

‘Livewire’ is the first single off the four-piece’s upcoming debut album and was recorded in Melbourne under the watchful eye of Stu Mackenzie from King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard fame, local legends teaming up for what’s set to be an absolute corker of a local record.

Check out the single below and if you like what you’re hearing be sure to visit the band’s Facebook page for more info on upcoming shows and releases.
