Local singer songwriter Damon Smith is today unveiling his brand new single ‘The Sun and the Moon’ a taste of just what to expect from the talented Melburnian’s upcoming LP set for release later this year.
Featuring incredibly delightful artwork from Damon’s daughter Rosie Mae Smith (two years old at the time) this jaunty and playful love song was also recently chosen as the theme song for 2016’s excellent new Television series, Under the Milky Way (to be aired in April).
Since his 2011 LP release, I Thought I’d Be Someone By Now, Damon Smith has enjoyed his new job as a stay at home Dad and has traveled all around the country as a boogie/blues piano player in his own creation.
To celebrate the release of this new single Smith will be playing a very special show at The Spotted Mallard April 1st alongside Emily Ulman and Oscar Lush. Check out the beautiful track below and if you like what you’re hearing be sure to pop by Damon’s Facebook page for more info on the upcoming LP.
