‘Prisoners’ is the latest release from Melbourne hard rock/progressive band Maker Resonate, packing punishing drums, heavy guitars and the kind of growling vocals that will no doubt terrify your parents.
“This song lyrically speaks about being a prisoner in a metaphorical sense,” says the band’s vocalist Ben Jevanath. “The first half of the song touches on inner turmoil of an individual as they struggle to overcome immoral practises. The second half portrays and individual who is held captive by their past”
Maker Resonate are one of the diverse range of eight participants selected for the recent GRID (Grass Roots Indie Development) artist development program, which provided emerging artists from Melbourne’s South East suburbs and Mornington Peninsula with the space and skills to build a sustainable career in the music industry.
