It’s no secret that Melbourne is creating some pretty fine hip hop talent of late (see: Milwauke Banks, Baro, RaRa), and now a new name you should be getting familiar with is Tom Kwan. The local MC recently dropped his single ‘Make Believe’ and is today premiering the video to this track.
The single showcases Kwan’s natural ability to craft lyrics the grow beyond the superficial. “I wrote Make Believe at time when I was intimidated by the idea of putting myself out there as an artist and was also second guessing everything I wrote,” explains Kwan.
“It has been a massive healing process to express these struggles through rapping and now every time I hear, rehearse or perform this song I get reconnected to that really fierce part of me that just doesn’t give a shit, and is willing to back myself no matter what!”
