Sydney’s Vast Hill have proven once again why they’re one of the most exciting acts out there, premiering their debut album More Than You Imagined ahead of its release on Friday.
Earlier this year, the Aussie music scene got that little bit more exciting when it welcomed new songs from Sydney dream-pop outfit Vast Hill.
Delivering gorgeous retro-styled synth tracks bolstered by stunning melodies and blissful vibes, Vast Hill were a huge hit, gaining praise all over the place thanks to their mesmerising singles ‘Heartbreaker’ and ‘Oblivion’.
Now, the amazing duo of Ellie Kress and Adin Milo are set to release their highly-anticipated debut album, More Than You Imagined, this Friday, and it’s everything that fans could have ever hoped for.
Described as a project years in the making, More Than You Imagined follows on from the sound that the pair have curated over the last couple of years, and features behind-the-scenes contributions from the likes of Luke Million, Michael Chow (FROYO), and Steve Smart.
“More Than You Imagined is a concept album from start to finish,” the group explain. “The narrative of young love blossoming in a small town is interwoven from track 1, through to track 12.
“Featuring singles ‘Heartbreaker’, ‘Oblivion’, and ‘Abagail’, Vast Hill’s debut record has been 2 years in the making and has reached the finish goal with noteworthy creative help from the likes of Luke Million and Michael Chow.”
If you’re into blissful vibes delivered through a pastel-coloured haze of synthesisers and dreamy vocals, then Vast Hill’s More Than You Imagined is undoubtedly going to be one of your favourite releases this year.
