Brisbane based producer Youthfire aka Stephen Carmichael is today releasing his brand new video for the stunning single ‘Leave’.

Beautifully minimal and fragile ‘Leave’ is a dreamy love-lost song about making hard decisions, moving on and following your path.

Directed by Emily Mackay from Jakeem Entertainment, Youthfire explains the meaning behind the film clip as “about two boys that were in a relationship and they have recently broken up. We chose to represent a gay couple in the film clip – apposed to a heterosexual couple – mainly because I don’t feel that homosexual relationships, especially two boys, are represented as dominantly within the music industry as either female gay couples or straight couples.”

The single is taken from a double single release, set for release on the 25th of November. Though still a new project, Youthfire is receiving lots of attention. The debut single launch for ‘World On Fire’ was a sell out show at the Metro Arts Theatre in Brisbane.

Proving that he’s definitely one musician to keep your eye on, he was also invited to play at the 2014 Valley Fiesta, and they were nominated as “Performer Of The Year” at the Queens Ball Awards in Brisbane. For more info visit his Facebook page.
