With the protests continuing to unfold in the wake of the Israel-Palestine crisis, many have showed up both in real life as well as on social media to voice their opinions and to protest the violence.

As reported by NME, many artists across many genres and eras have spoken up to show their support, with many begging for answers. Among them including Primal Scream, Tim Burgess and more.

Primal Scream shared on Instagram, “Solidarity with Palestine #savesheikhjarrah #freegaza #endisraeliapartheid #endisraelioccupation

Tim Burgess said, “This is utterly heartbreaking. We shouldn’t avert our eyes from what is happening. Regardless of history or politics, this has to stop”

Nadine Shah said, “Given the chance she could be whatever she wants to be but not if her school is flattened and not if her country is destroyed and certainly not if her life is cut short like so many children that have been killed during this violence. #FreePalestine #Palestine

Stefflon Don wrote, “What’s happening in Palestine is heartbreaking @shaunking has been posting numerous videos displaying the terrible truth. Please go and see 4 yourself. Far 2 many people have lost their lives even children. This is pure evil. There has to be a resolution. How does this stop ?”

Rage Against the Machine were among some of the first artists to speak out on the crisis last week, taking to Instagram to share their stance. They wrote, “The violence and atrocities we are witnessing in Sheikh Jarrah, the Al Aqsa compound and Gaza are a continuation of decades of Israel’s brutal apartheid and violent occupation of Palestine. We stand with the Palestinian people as they resist this colonial terror in all its forms”.

Tom Morello also retweeted a critical statement on Twitter by journalist Jeremy Scahill regarding the Biden administration. “The Biden administration position: the Israeli government, a nuclear power with sophisticated weapons and a powerful military, can ethnically cleanse Palestinian neighborhoods, the Palestinians do not have a right to self defense, and Israel can kill children with impunity.”
