Radiohead are set to launch a unique streaming event at record stores around the country this Friday and they’ve unveiled the list of Aussie record stores set to participate.

Details about just what the event, titled Live From A Moon Shaped Pool, will entail are scant, but the band’s website promises an “exclusive day long audio stream from the band”.

There’ll also be “competitions, instructional artworks” and more. We’re not too sure what an instructional artwork is, but Radiohead have never been ones to disappoint us.

Among the Aussie record stores involved in the project are Sydney’s Mojo Record Bar, Thornbury Records in Melbourne, and Jet Black Cat Music in Brisbane, just to name a few.

You can check out the full list of Aussie record stores below. The whole thing kicks off Friday, 17th June and we’re anticipating the lines will snake around the block so get down early.

The whole thing is to promote the band’s latest album, A Moon Shaped Pool, which has already been hailed as one of the band’s strongest and most cathartic releases to date.
