Rage Against The Machine have revealed details of a free gig in London, to reward fans for sending them to the top of the charts and giving them the Christmas Number One in the UK.

The band, who’s Killing In The Name topped the charts after a Facebook led campaign to keep the X Factor winner Joe McElderry off the top of the charts, will play a free gig on Sunday 6th June at Finsbury Park in north London. Tickets will be allocated via ballot and you can register at www.theragefactor.co.uk.

Ironically, considering the nature of the protest to get the band to the top of the charts and the band’s militant lefty posturing, the gig is being organised by Live Nation, the touring behemoth that is trying to take over as many gig venues and festivals as possible.
