From the boo hoo department comes the news that Rebecca Black’s desire to be a star, which produced arguably the worst song of all time, ‘Friday’, has led to her dropping out of school. Apparently she was getting bullied as a result of her 15 minutes fame for all the wrong reasons. What’s more, her cruel classmates have apparently been taunting her by singing the cringeworthy lyrics to her Youtube sensation in the school hallways.
According to Black, in an interview with ABC America, “When I walk by they’ll start singing ‘Friday’ in a really nasally voice. Or, you know, they’ll be like, ‘Oh hey, Rebecca, guess what day it is?’’
It seems that Black is finding a downside to fame, which she admits she craved from a young age. She has revealed “I was one of those little girls who practiced signing autographs since I was 5 years old.” It appears that her mother, Georgina Marquez, is a proper stage mother because she’s opted to pull Black out of school as a result, saying “She certainly did not need that kind of pressure.”
Perhaps oblivious to the fact that her daughter is set to end up being a mentally disturbed washed up crackwhore, she’s still proud of the $4,000 she paid to Ark Music Factory to write ‘Friday’ and make the buttock clenchingly, toe curlingly, awful accompanying video. The Youtube video for ‘Friday’ is set to surpass 170 million Youtube views – around half the population of America – and she’s now starred in the video for Katy Perry’s latest single, ‘TGIF’.
The good news is that her latest song ‘My Moment’ is still stuck at 22 million Youtube views and her fast slide back in to obscurity is hopefully about to start. Who knows, she might even be able to go back to school and attend the high school prom.
