Roger Waters (ya know, that guy from Pink Floyd who hates Israel but wrote Dark Side Of The Moon) has shared a live video ahead of the release of his upcoming concert film Us + Them.
The song in question is an excerpt from the proggy classic One Of These Days, the opening track of Floyd’s 1971 Meddle LP.
Previously released footage from the DVD includes excerpts of Pigs (Three Different One’s) and hit Us and Them, the inspiration for the DVD.
The DVD, set for release on October 2nd, features footage from Waters’ four-night stay at Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome on June 18, 19, 22 and 23 last year, with a spectacular production captured beautifully. Check out the footage below.
“I’m so looking forward to the launch of the movie in October. Us + Them is not standard rock’n’roll fare. Some in the audience may ‘yee ha!’ which is OK, but many will weep. That is what I hope for” said Waters about the release.

Of course, Waters couldn’t resist a sick pun along the way when promoting the DVD.
“Homo sapiens stand at a crossroads – we can either pool our love, develop our capacity to empathise with others and act collectively for the good of our planet, or we can remain Comfortably Numb, and continue, like blind lemmings, on our current homicidal death march towards extinction”.

Sounds pretty prog.
Since the dissolution of Pink Floyd all the members have gone on to solo ventures, with Waters rising head and shoulders above his former band mates with an astonishingly successful solo career.
The artist is so successful that even Miley Cyrus gave one of his songs a cover at a recent show, to the confusion of the amassed audience.
According to Pollstar, his two decade stretch of touring his solo work has generated nearly $1 billion of ticket sales – but that’s still not even close to being the highest of all time.
