Hunt for the Wilderpeople actor Sam Neil has spent his self-isolation period sharing truly wholesome content on social media. The 72-year-old actor has dabbled in wine tastings, poetry readings, reciting bedtimes stories and bird discussions. He’s also taken to sharing ukulele covers of Frank Sinatra, Randy Newman, and now Radiohead songs.
On Friday night, the stalwart actor shared a video of him covering the Radiohead classic,“DON’T BE FRIGHTENED! Here’s a little light entertainment to ease your mind if you’re in #LockdownForLove #CoronaLockdown #WeWillPrevail,” he wrote.
The video is truly chicken soup for the soul. Neil encourages fans to “breathe out anxiety, breath in hope,” before apologising for sounding like “some dud self-styled guru.” It’s bliss. Check it out below.
DON’T BE FRIGHTENED! Here’s a little light entertainment to ease your mind if you’re in #LockdownForLove #CoronaLockdown #WeWillPrevail . Ease your mind for a moment – breathe out anxiety, breath in hope. (

Sam Neill is just one of the many artists that have taken to social media to alleviate the anxiety of self-isolation in the time of COVID-19. Last week, Neil Diamond shared a reworked version of his smash hit ‘Sweet Caroline’, to encourage practising hygiene. Whilst many musicians have taken to live-streaming intimate performances.
