A Sarah Blasko Australian Tour 2014 has been announced with the esteemed singer-songwriter touring the nation’s churches for Heavenly Sounds next year.
Returning to Heavenly Sounds – having launched the debut tour of churches and cathedrals in 2011 with her side-project Seeker Lover Keeper – Sarah Blasko will open the Heavenly Sounds touring calendar for 2014.
Taking place in January, Sarah Blasko’s Heavenly Sounds tour will see her deliver what will be her last performances celebrating her ARIA-nominated album I Awake.
After performing with orchestras earlier this year, these shows promise to be an entirely different affair, as Sarah explained today: “These will be my last shows for I Awake, and really, what better place is there to sing (apart from the shower of course) than a beautiful church? I’ll be playing songs from all four albums & it’s likely to be the most intimate show of mine you’ll see for some time.”
Sarah’s latest single ‘Fool’ was released last week, along with the Fool EP, which features remixes of Sarah’s songs by PVT and Seekae. The startling new video for ‘Fool’ directed by Wilk can be viewed here.
Already acclaimed by critics as her masterpiece, I Awake is a grand statement from one of the country’s most unique and respected artists. For her fourth studio album, Blasko took on the role of producer, recording in Stockholm, Sweden and Sofia, Bulgaria with the 52-piece Bulgarian Symphony Orchestra.
Sarah has won two ARIAs for Best Female and Best Pop Album, plus Triple J’s J Award for Australian Album of the Year. She has also been nominated for a further 14 ARIAs (including two for Album of The Year) and been shortlisted for two Australian Music Prizes and another J Award.
Tickets for Sarah Blasko’s Heavenly Sounds shows are $62.50 + transaction fees and are open to ALL AGES.
