Earlier this week, Shannon Noll went on a bit of a rant onstage after someone threw a beer at him. The moment was forever immortalised on Facebook with over 1.5 million views, now it’s also become a parody of “What About Me”.

Noll has since apologised for the rant on Facebook. Probably a good thing after telling someone you’re going to “fuck your missus and your mum” and calling them a “fuckin maggot”.

Although, we do understand why you’d be upset if someone threw a full beer can at you. Also, it happened to him last year with a firecracker – he’s probably a bit over it by now.

However, because the internet is forever, the rant was not forgotten; Enter ABC Comedy show Tonightly with Tom Ballard. The team there decided that the rant was poetic enough to become a song, and what better way to sing it than to the tune of Noll’s classic hit “What About Me”.

Who would’ve thought that “You’re a fuckin maggot” would be so melodic at the start of a chorus? I guess it’s just more proof that Nollsie is the greatest songwriter of our generation. Listen to the parody below, and sing along if you know the words. Maybe just not in public…
