Shepparton’s Land Of Plenty Festival is shaping up to be a big one, with the new musical event launching a stunning lineup for its inaugural edition.

Just a couple of weeks ago, keen music-lovers were treated to the news that the Victorian town of Shepparton was set to play host to Land Of Plenty, a brand new music festival.

Organised by Red Hill Entertainment – which is comprised of the folks behind The Hills Are Alive Group (THAA Group) and Unified Music Group (UMG) – it was last year revealed they were set to launch a brand new music festival in 2019.

Described by the Mayor of Greater Shepparton of a long-awaited event for the community, it was noted that 2,500 – 3,000 attended were hoped to attend.

“Having developed regional events in other parts of the state we believe there is enormous potential for such an event here and are really looking forward to working with the local community and local businesses to make it a huge success,” explained co-director of Red Hill, Aidan McLaren.

Now, Land Of Plenty has revealed just what their first edition will look like.

Kicking off on Melbourne Cup weekend, this brand new addition to the Aussie festival calendar will be headline by none other than Illy, while Shepparton local Briggs will also be delivering some of his incredible tunes.

That’s not all though, because concertgoers will also get the chance to see Alex The Astronaut, Slowly Slowly, Ocean Grove, Tones And I, Eliott, Jack Botts, and Heard Instinct Collective all strutting their stuff on the live stage.

Still not satisfied? The festival still has another headliner to be announced, along with more artists and DJs.

If you’re wondering just who this second headliner might be, organisers gave us some clues, noting that the headline acts featured in the Hottest 100 a total of 15 times, and both appeared in the top ten.

Since Illy appeared ten times, and only one other act top ten-placing act has made it in five times, we can’t be certain, but we might be able make a rather confident guess…

However, the music isn’t where the fun ends, with market stalls, carnival rides, gourmet food trucks, and much more on offer.

Tickets to the inaugural edition of Land Of Plenty go on sale this Thursday, May 16th, from 9am AEST. Be sure to head to the festival’s website for more information.
