Sydney post-hardcore icons Sienna Skies have announced plans to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their formative record Truest Of Colours in style, with a fresh AF limited edition vinyl re-print, and a run of headline Australian tour dates.
2009 was a great year to be an awkward emo kid in Australia. Scene nightclubs reined supreme, Soundwave was around the corner, and Sienna Skies were never too far from bringing their then shimmering new record Truest Of Colours to a venue near you.
The record would see the Sienna quickly outgrow the shackles of ‘local act’, putting them on the world stage.
Over the years, the band took on many forms, and has since released three albums, the latest being 2016’s A Darker Shade Of Truth. In 2018, Sienna unleashed their brand new single, ‘Widow’.
For the anniversary run, kicking off in Melbourne and wrapping with a home-ground show in Sydney, fans can expect to cop the original line up
Judging by the comments begging them to bring the anniversary tour abroad also, it’s clear the international market were just as taken with our Sienna Skies as we were.
This seems like a good time to remind everyone of their phenomenal ‘Fireflies’ cover, which straight up blew minds back in the day.
