‘Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)’ Rapper Silento has been reportedly been arrested for murdering his cousin, 34-year-old Fredrick Rooks.

Silento — real name Richard “Ricky” Lamar Hawk, was arrested by Georgia’s DeKalb County Police Department on Monday, February 1st.

“Today, Ricky Hawk, 23, was arrested for the murder of his cousin Frederick Rooks, 34. On January 21, the DeKalb County Police Department investigated Rooks’ death after he was found shot on Deep Shoals Circle. Hawk is in the DeKalb County Jail charged with Murder. #WeAreDKPD,” the DeKalb County Police Department confirmed in a statement.

As XXL report, authorities responded to a call reporting that a person was shot at 3:30am on January 21st at Deep Shoals Circle and Corners Xing.

The incident report outlines that Rooks sustained gunshot wounds to the face and legs, in addition to eight shell casings recovered at the scene. An officer attending the scene detailed that he “felt a possible faint pulse” though by time emergency medical services arrived, Rooks was pronounced dead.

In the aftermath, responding officers gathered footage from surrounding security cameras. The video reportedly shows several cars fleeing the scene at high speeds. Detectives are yet to determine a motive behind the shooting.

Silento was booked into the DeKalb County Jail at earlier today on charges of felony murder. Bail has reportedly not been offered. The musician has been arrested a number of times in passing months. In August last year he was arrested twice in the same week on domestic violence and possession of a deadly weapon charges in California. Subsequently in October he was arrested and booked into DeKalb jail on speeding charges.
