A Sister Sledge Australian tour in 2012 has been announced that will see one of the most successful girl groups of all time play a series of shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane across the Queen’s Birthday Weekend.
With the recent triumphant tour of former label mates, Chic proving that disco is alive and well, Sister Sledge will transform The Hi Fi into the best disco in town for one night only in each of the three cities.
Bust out those platforms and your best lurex and get ready to get down to a slew of Number One hits, including “We Are Family” – the enduring global anthem that earned Sister Sledge their place as inductees into the GRAMMY Hall of Fame, penned and produced by hit makers Nile Rodgers and the late, great Bernard Edwards.
With four sisters taking the stage – Kathy, Joni, Debbie & Kim, expect to hear classics such as “He’s The Greatest Dancer”, “Lost In Music”, “Got To Love Somebody”, “All American Girls”, “B.Y.O.B. (Bring Your Own Baby)” and the Sister Sledge version of “My Guy”.
