Directed and Filmed by Dylan Wiehahn
Produced by Sleep Decade

Filmed on location in Aireys Inlet, Victoria, Australia.

For this video clip we headed down to Aireys Inlet, Victoria where Casey and Monty grew up. Aireys was also the location where we did some pre-production work for our record Into Spinning Lights from which the song “Mexico” is taken. The song is about escapism, and an attempt to live, somewhat unsuccessfully, between conflicting worlds and desires. We aimed to capture a sense of this in the film clip, as well as visually reflect the songs slow, spacious, dreamy qualities. The clip also takes inspiration from the quirky Australian TV show “Round The Twist” that used Aireys Inlet’s iconic Split Point Lighthouse and the surrounding area as a central location.
