After 10 years of performing and recording together, Sleeping With Sirens has parted ways with drummer Gabe Barham.
Sleeping With Sirens has officially made a statement regarding the future of their band, addressing the nature of drummer Gabe Barham, who the band says will be splitting from the group due to musical differences.
In the post, the band expresses their love for the drummer, who has played on each and every one of the groups full-length albums so far. Allegedly there is no bad blood between Gabe Barham and the rest of the band members, and it’s all just a case of evolving into different musical places in their lives.
The full statement, which you can see in full below, reads:
“Gabe will no longer be a part of Sleeping With Sirens.
“We all love him, and we’ve created amazing music together, but in the last year or so we’ve been growing in different places musically. There are absolutely no hard feelings and we wish Gabe success in all of his future endeavors.”
The tweet was sent in the early hours of 3 AM, just in time for all of us to wake up to the disheartening news.

In total, Barham lent his talents to six full-length albums with Sleeping With Sirens, the latest being this year’s brand new EP, Agree to Disagree. He joined the group in 2009, the year they were formed, following the brief tenure of original drummer Alex Kaladjian.
Sleeping With Sirens have yet to comment further, and have also not revealed who will become the band’s new drummer as of yet. Currently, the band is set to tour with Bring Me the Horizon and Poppy on the aptly titled “Threesome” tour.
The tour kicks off on October 10th, and will not be seeing drummer Gabe Barham in attendance.
