Hot girl summer has officially arrived. Slipknot and Guns N’ Roses have both unveiled a range of selfie filters available exclusively through Facebook.

To celebrate the release of their forthcoming record, We Are Not Your Kind, Slipknot unveiled a series of filters that will turn you into the masked deviant you’ve always wanted to be. The filters superimpose the band’s We Are Not Your Kind era masks onto your face. Live up your ultimate maggot dream.

If you’re not sure which Slipknot remember best embodies your spirit, you can take our Slipknot personality quiz here.

However if the divine pipes of Axl Rose are more your energy, Guns N’ Roses have you covered with a bunch of filters that pay homage to their seminal record, Appetite for Destruction. The GNR filters will transform your entire face into a caricature of each member filtered on the cover. Test it out for yourself here.

In related news, Slipknot percussionist Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan recently revealed that the band had a surplus of fifteen tracks that didn’t make the cut for their new record. Out of those tracks, eight songs were in their final form. Clown did not reveal whether the band had any intention of releasing these songs at some point — but we’re all crossing our fingers.

Slipknot will be heading down under later this year for a slew of monolithic stadium shows with metal giants Metallica. The WorldWired Australian tour kicks off in October, you can find all the relevant details below.
