Cameo is truly the greatest gift the internet has given us. If you’re not familiar, it’s a service that allows you to commission short videos from A-grade (Nikki Blonksy of hit film, Hairspray) and C-grade celebrities. While most people request videos from celebrities wishing their daughter Annabelle a happy thirteenth birthday, one user had a different idea.

A woman known only as Cheyenne hired Mark McGrath, vocalist of legendary AMF Bowling soundtracking band Sugar Ray, to break up with her boyfriend Brayden. In absolutely miraculously news, he did it.

“Whats up Brayden? It’s Mark McGrath from the band Sugar Ray — off the charts but always in your hearts. This cameo was booked by Cheyenne, and she wants you to know a few things.”

Then came the hard to stomach moment of truth, where McGrath was forced to reveal to sweet Brayden that he had been sacked. Thankfully, McGrath coated the blow with empathy, letting Brayden know that he has also had to navigate long-distance relationships whilst on the road, and he feels for him.

“This is a little difficult for me to say because its the first one of these I’ve done but she wants you to know that you mean a lot to her, you mean the world to her, but she’s having difficulties staying in this long-distance relationship.

“You know it’s tough, I’ve been on the road for years and I’ve been with my wife a long time. The biggest arguments and obstacles in our relationship is the distance between us.

Cheyenne is trying to let you know that it’s very, very tough for her to stay in this relationship. She still cares about you a lot. You never know what the future may hold.”

Honestly, if I were to ever get dumped, I hope, truly and sincerely that it’s through Cameo. You can witness it in all its glory below.

This isn’t the first time someone has made the most of the app. Last year, Sydney pop-punk heroes enlisted the help of a bunch of Cameo celebrities to petition with fans to vote for their song ‘Lavender Bones’ in the Hottest 100. Read all about it now.
