Fans went nuts when they first heard that one of the world’s most legendary and influential bands would soon be heading Down Under for Soundwave 2015, and now Soungarden have announced that they will embark on a run of very special sideshows in Melbourne and Sydney.

One of the premier acts of Seattle’s famous ’90s grunge revolution, Soundgarden not only provided a true north for bands in the scene like Nirvana and Alice In Chains to follow, but still stand as one of the few bands of the alternative movement to cross over into the mainstream and maintain their critical acclaim.

After an extended hiatus following the release of their fifth album, Down on the Upside, the band reunited for an acclaimed tour and an accompanying album, King Animal, which hailed their return to the forefront of alternative music.

Having recently embarked on a Stateside tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of their legendary breakthrough album, Superunkown, the band are ready to once again show Australian audiences what’s made them one of the most respected bands in music.
