Australia’s favourite heavy-hitting music festival, Soundwave, may still be just under a year away, but that’s no reason to stop talking about it – especially considering the latest change that may be occurring at the 2016 East Coast event.
Festival promoter AJ Maddah has revealed that next year’s Soundwave may also include a membership program that will offer punters extra bits, as Fasterlouder report.

Chatting with fans online, Maddah detailed that the prospective club would see its members receive the royalty treatment, including first access to tickets Sidewaves gigs, giveaways, quick-entrance lanes, specials on merchandise as well as potential discounted ticket prices for those who are hitting-up more than one Soundwave festival for the 2016 round.
According to the promoter, the membership will also include access to the Comfort Zone, the fenced off area that was introduced this year at Sydney and Brisbane that featured the likes of “[a] massage service, good coffee and cake, good wine, lux serviced toilets” as well as a roaming massage service and comfortable seating.

So how much will membership to the Soundwave alliance sting punters? Whilst these figures as well as benefits are still only in the ideas phase, it’s said that future members will be expected to fork out around $200.00 which includes an entry ticket into the festival, whilst standard tickets will fetch for only about “around $12 to $15” cheaper.
Comparing prices from this year to the next, it’s interesting considering single day tickets were $140.00 whilst a whole weekend costs the same as the membership at $198.00, meanwhile the Comfort Zone was $30.00 for a single day and $50.00 for the whole weekend.
As mentioned, the Soundwave membership hasn’t been 100 per cent confirmed as of yet, however with all the discussion it’s looking like quite the goer.
