Beyond The Valley Festival Announce Extra Day

Due to an overwhelming ticket demand from eager punters, the organisers of the inaugural Beyond the Valley Music and Camping Festival at Phillip Island have now announced the addition of an extra day — Monday, 29th December — to the event program, and with it, an additional allocation of final release tickets.

What organisers have dubbed the “early settlers” pass is now available for purchase for current ticket holders to allow campers to settle in before the main event kicks off and will be available for sale from noon today (Friday, 12th December 2014). All patrons who’ve purchased a luxury camping package will get the upgrade included free of charge.

The decision to open the gates on the first ever Beyond The Valley a day earlier was made in order to allow patrons the opportunity to beat the maddening traffic, and arrive on site, pick the very best spot for their camp set up, and ensure they are immersed in the splendour of Phillip Island at a relaxed, leisurely pace.

The official Festival will still kick off on 30th December, but early settlers will be treated to local DJs spinning smooth tunes amidst the scenic backdrop of a Phillip Island sunset. The “early settlers” upgrade is available via Ticketmaster for just $30.00 and passes are limited so current ticket holders need to act fast.

Sugar Mountain 2015 Lose International Act, Announce Two More

Sugar Mountain 2015 boasts one of the most eclectic lineups to hit the Australian festival scene in years and organisers aren’t even letting the loss of an international artist derail their momentum. While organisers are sad to announce the departure of Anthony Naples, they’re excited to confirm the addition of FunkinEven and Nick Monaco.

In an official press statement, Sugar Mountain organisers claimed that New York City via Miami producer and DJ Anthony Naples has cancelled all of his upcoming 2015 Australian tour dates, including his highly anticipated appearance at Sugar Mountain, due to “scheduling commitments”.

In Naples’ place, London producer Steve Tony Julien, known to fans as FunkinEven, will be bringing his hip-hop, pop, early hardcore, and drum’n’bass-informed brand of tunes down to Sugar Mountain 2015. Best known for classic tracks like ‘She’s Acid’ and ‘Heart Pound’ and collaborations with Bonobo and Roisin Murphy, this is sure to be something special.

But organisers aren’t done. Joining the likes of Nas, Body/Head, ODESZA, and more, will be San Francisco producer/DJ Nick Monaco, who turned every heard in the room with his captivating 2014 debut album, Mating Call, and demanded their attention with his unforgettable live show and its colourful cast of characters.
