One of Tone Deaf’s favourite bands, indie legends the Stone Roses, broke up 14 years ago. However, it appears that fans of the Manchester group are determined to do their best to propel them to the top of the charts to oust the expected shitty X-Factor TV ‘talent show’ winner. They’ve set up a campaign to have the band’s amazing album closer [of The Stone Roses] ‘I Am The Resurrection’ as the UK’s Christmas Number One.

Along the lines of the campaign that saw Rage Against The Machine’s ‘Kiling In The Name Of…’ register as the Number One single in the country last year, beating X-Factor winner Joe McElderry and creating headlines around the world, this campaign follows a similar path. Members of The Stone Roses appear to have thrown their support behind the cause and you can join them in your support here.
