Yeah, you read that right. Scott Weiland, frontman for Stone Temple Pilots has announced that he will be releasing an album of Christmas and holidays music entitled The Most Wonderful Time of the Year.
We hope you’ve been a fair bit better behaved this year than Scott has in the past, infamously sacked from Velvet Revolver due to his problems with drugs. Otherwise you’ll miss out from Santa on what is sure to be the biggest release of the year.
According to a press release, the album covers “a variety of styles including big band swing, orchestrated ballads, reggae, bossa nova and more, all delivered with surprising ease by Scott Weiland.”
In an interview back in 2010 Scott commented on the album saying it would be “very traditional. You know, strings, upright bass, jazz horns, piano, and guitar. He added, “I’m sort of picking various versions of these songs, because they’ve been covered so many times, but my favorite versions — with a little twist.”
