Thanks to the pandemic, we’ve suffered through a dry, festival-free year. Though it’s been a hot minute, we finally have an official 2021 festival announcement from none other than Strawberry Fields!

Returning to the banks of NSW’s Murray River, the (usually) annual celebration of art, sound, and creative expression is back. The twelfth edition of this beloved event is scheduled for October 29th-31st, 2021 in Tocumwal.

Strawberry Fields is undoubtedly one of the country’s biggest festivals and normally sells out months in advance. So, it’s very likely that tickets this year will be snapped up at lightning speed.

Discounted early bird and first-round tickets will be available by ballot only. To get yourself in the running, head to the Strawberry Fields website by Tuesday, January 19th. General sales will be available to the public from February 9, 2021.

As usual, the good guys over at Strawberry Fields are doing their thing to help humanity. They are supporting a Low Income Ticket Program where patrons who are socially or economically disadvantaged can apply for a half-priced ticket. If you fall into this category, you can apply from April 1 and the successful applicants will be notified mid-year.

For 2021, the Strawberry Fields Festival is also partnering with Humantix – a ticketing platform that donates all booking fees towards programs aimed at closing the education gap globally.

“We are thrilled to partner with Humanitix who will donate 100% of booking fee profits to fund scholarships for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. Humanitix believes that everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive no matter their background, and so do we!” Shared Festival Director Tara Benney.

Meaning, you can help out a good cause simply by attending your fav festy. Win, win!

Furthermore, if your birthday happens to fall within the festival dates you’ll get an instant free pass. No joke, the festival will provide you a free ticket, zero strings attached. All you have to do is rock up with your ID in hand as evidence of your birthday and you’ll be ushered straight in.

Of course, Strawberry Fields has addressed the possibility of a COVID-19 related issue, one we hope and pray won’t arise.

“If we are forced to cancel due to COVID-19, we will reschedule the festival. Tickets will roll to those new dates. If you cannot make the new dates, you will be guaranteed a 90% refund of your ticket price.

“We will introduce a 10% COVID-19 cancellation fee to cover the considerable cost of planning and building a damn fine festival all year long.  We have introduced this policy because insurance companies refuse to provide cover for COVID-19 cancellations.

“So, if you want your favourite music, arts & camping festivals to return, we need your support to make it happen. As a small collectible token of thanks, we will be giving every ticket holder a limited-edition badge, showing you voted for music and art in 2021.”
