After releasing their new anthemic-pop single and ‘Ghosts Of 1999’ Sunshine Coast-based indie-rock group, Selahphonic have captured the hearts of local music fans thanks to their refreshing take on explosive pop infused indie rock.
To find out just what went into the new single, we got a sneak peek of the band’s recent US studio sessions Mac Montgomery.
“We spent 2 days spent with producer Mac Montgomery at his ‘ghetto garage studio’ which sits in the midst of the most high populated 1 square mile in the whole of America” explains the band.
“The beach a short walk, college students scattered everywhere, on bikes, skateboards, going to classes or maybe coming home from the night before. The place buzzes with energy. This what Selahphonic chose to use to inspire their first single ‘Ghosts of 1999’.”
