The son of convicted music executive Marion “Suge” Knight Jr. has ‘revealed’ that Tupac Shakur is apparently still alive, and living in Malaysia.
Back in September of 1996, a 25-year-old Tupac Shakur was shot and killed by an unknown assailant in a shooting in Las Vegas. Since his tragic passing there have been numerous theories about not only who pulled the trigger, but whether or not the iconic rapper was actually killed.
Regardless of your attitude towards these theories, there is however one name that keeps on coming up in relation to Tupac’s death; Suge Knight.
The former CEO of Death Row Records, Knight has been a rather controversial figure, and is noted for having been present when Tupac was shot back in 1996.
Since then, Knight has claimed he knows who killed Tupac, noting that he was in fact the real target. While these claims were later dismissed by Tupac’s bodyguard, Suge Knight made the headlines again last month when he was sentenced to 28 years in prison in relation to a charge of voluntary manslaughter.
Now, Suge Knight’s son has entered the ring, claiming that Tupac Shakur never actually died, and is in fact living in Malaysia.
As Esquire notes, Suge J. Knight recently took to Instagram to share photos claiming that Tupac is in fact alive and well.
Following a post which simply claimed that “Tupac is alive”, Knight shared a brief text conversation he had with an unnamed individual. “You said to much,” the first message stated. “Time for you to go.”Knight soon hit back, writing, “The truth will be out and I’m not going anywhere.”
What followed next was a pair of images that appears to show an aged Tupac with both 50 Cent and Beyoncé. Of course, for you to actually believe these photos, you have to ignore their questionable quality, and the fact that both 50 Cent and Beyoncé appear to be heavily photoshopped.
While a number of Suge J. Knight’s followers noted that these photos appeared to be pretty clearly edited, Knight later took to Instagram to share posts that referenced the Illuminati, and claimed that he is “not on drugs”.
Incidentally, these claims come just a few days after it was announced that the estate of Tupac Shakur recently won a five-year legal battle over unpaid royalties. This lawsuit has also resulted in the returning of a number of unreleased master recordings, which are apparently set to be released on a handful of new posthumous albums.
While there’s no release date for these records, it would mark the first official Tupac release since the 2007 compilation album Beginnings: The Lost Tapes 1988–1991.
