Discovered playing in a small Sydney bar, the talented singer songwriter Hein Cooper is currently unleashing his brand new single ‘The Real’ taken from his self-titled debut EP released April 10th via through Canadian/Australian indie label Indica Records.

Hailing from Milton on the New South Wales South Coast, Cooper was performing one of his regular sets in a small pub when manager of legendary rockers Half Moon Run, Franz Schuller stumbled upon Coopers’ set, blown away by what he was hearing, Schuller invited Hein to write and demo his songs in Montreal (Canada) and he was quickly signed to Indica Records.

Listening to ‘The Real’ it’s clear what all the fuss is about. This single shows a more eclectic and electronic side to his musical personality. With previous single ‘The Art Of Escape’ hitting playlists around the world including BBC6, triple j, and Absolute Radio, and resulting in live performances at The Great Escape, Sound City, Canadian Music Week, a very quick return to Australia to tour with Ash Grunwald.

With European festivals on the horizon as well as signing with respected UK agency, Hein will return to Australia later this year to focus on local touring in support of his debut EP – including Hein’s just announced
inclusion on the Mullum Music Festival line-up in November. Check out Hein’s Facebook page for all upcoming info.
