Here’s a little bit of Lucidity from Dallas

This year, Tame Impala unveiled ‘Borderline’ and ‘Patience’ the first new music we’ve heard from the band since 2015’s Currents. Parker has kept details surrounding the elusive-record under wraps.

In an interview with Huck, Parker delved into the delay behind the record. “The more power and control I have over the music, the more freedom and respect I’m given by my record label, then the more I don’t have them going like, ‘Right, you’ve got to fucking finish this.’ So that is an issue.”

We recently sat down with Liam Gallagher and shot the shit about his new record, Why Me? Why Not. In the interview Gallagher sung praises of Tame Impala, and a bunch of their Australian music peers.

“I mean, obviously you’ve got your Tame Impala. You’ve got Holy Holy. I like them, I’ve seen them a few times. Then, who’s that other band? Gang Of Youths! And you’ve got the DMA’s out there.

“To be fair, you’ve always had a good music scene and it always seems to be healthy, even though we don’t get to hear all of it. It just seems to be a really good, healthy music scene so fair play to yas, man.”
