6ix9ine has announced his next single will be out this Friday, May 29th. It comes just three weeks after ‘Gooba’, the rapper’s first single following his early release from prison in April.

6ix9ine may be on house arrest, but he’s not letting that stymie his output. The controversial New York MC – born Daniel Hernandez – let his 21.3 million Instagram followers know that his next single will drop on May 29th.

He made the announcement via a graphic, which also claimed the “most liked comment will be the song name.” Hernandez’s own comment, “Trollz?”, gained close to 250,000 likes. The caption on his next post – which is a self-hype video – suggests this will be the title.

“THIS FRIDAY ⭐️TROLLZ🌸 ANOTHER ONE🍭🌈🌈🍭💦💦💦 ‼️‼️‼️‼️ THEY WISH THIS WAS A NIGHTMARE ‼️‼️ IT CANT BE TRUE 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂‼️😂😂😂BITCH I AM THE INTERNET,” he wrote.

The video itself is even more over the top. “I know when I was locked up y’all prayed every night, ‘God please don’t let him come home,’” he says in reference to his recent incarceration. Hernandez pled guilty to nine charges, such as armed robbery and conspiracy to murder, after agreeing to cooperate and testify against his co-defendants.

He ended up with a two-year sentence, which was announced on December 18th, 2019. He’d already served 13 months and so was due out in November 2020. However, the outbreak of COVID-19 meant he was granted early release on account of his asthma.

“I look like money,” he continues in the video. “How a n***a on house arrest get more money than you? You all ever see a million in a cash? I made this on house arrest.” He then proceeds to empty out a shoulder bag full of $100 bills.

‘Gooba’ debuted at number three in the US Billboard Hot 100 behind Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber’s ‘Stuck With U’ and Doja Cat’s ‘Say So’ remix featuring Nicki Minaj. This result led 6ix9ine to accuse both Billboard and Grande of corruption.
