Australian metalcore legends The Amity Affliction have announced a monolithic Australian tour in celebration of their 2018 full-length Misery, fresh off their appearance at the second ever Download Festival Australia.
The Amity Affliction have a longstanding history of delivering Australian heavy music fans with gargantuan tour lineups that rival those of major festivals and this time around, the purveyors of sing-scream jams have lived up to their huge reputation.
This tour is basically a mecca for anyone who’s ever been brave enough to go under the needle and brand themselves with an anchor tattoo donning their favourite lyrics. We can assure you plenty of tinnies will be slung as flailing limbs crawl over bodies during the chorus of ‘Open Letter’. Our Vans Sk8 His are ready and our t-shirt sleaves are cuffed.
Joining the band on their three-date run will be US-metalcore icons Underoath, Japanese electronicore party starters Crossfaith and ultra-hyped homegrown heroes of death rock Pagan.
Underoath recently visited the country for an exclusive performance headlining Unify Gathering 2019, giving fans taste of their excellent 2018 comeback effort Erase Me.
Crossfaith also satiated the hunger of Aussie moshers at Unify Gathering for an exclusive performance where they served up a signature raucous performance.
Pagan have been stunning punters with their unique brand of paisano-core, ensuring all worshippers at the feet of their kingdom conquering riff-laden throne are left malocchio free.
Brisbane fans will be treated to an exclusive mini-fest, ‘Heaven And Hell’, where Victorian metalcore luminaries Void Of Vision, Thornhill, Endless Heights and Southeast Desert Metal will also join, with more to be announced.
The Amity Affliction recently further cemented their place in Australian music history, with Misery marking their fourth consecutive number one debut on the ARIA charts, making them the fourth artist to garner that achievement.
