Australian post-punk legends The Church have announced a 30th-anniversary tour of their seminal album Starfish, performing the record in its entirety with An Evening with The Church.
The Aus-rock icons will celebrate their illustrious 38-year career, making their way to Wollongong, Newcastle, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Aukland and Adelaide and Perth in November and December this year.
Starfish marked the band’s foray into worldwide commercial success and spawned their signature tune, ‘Under The Milky Way’, which remains a classic to this day. A 30th-anniversary vinyl edition of the album will be available exclusively with VIP ticket bundles for fans keen to completely embrace the legacy of the act.
In a video message to fans, frontman Steve Kilbey said the band are excited to play the album in its entirety, alongside “other old favourites and new material.”
The Church released their 25th studio album Man Woman Life Death Infinity in 2017, a follow up to 2014’s Further/ Deeper.
