The Hello Morning Australian Tour 2013 has been announced and after a year that has seen the enigmatic Melbourne based six piece release their debut album and follow-up Without You EP, the band are set to release a new four track release.
Tie That Binds is The Hello Morning’s new four-track EP and set to keep the momentum going for the honest rock collective have picked up solid radio airplay across US College Radio, headlined their own tours throughout the country, and supported bands such as Busby Marou, King Cannons and Dan Sultan.
The band have also garnered rave live reviews from press and punters alike, with Tone Deaf’s own reviewer singing the praises of their live show at BIGSOUND 2012, writing: “Filling the Black Bear Lodge with sonorous rock as they won over a shoulder-to-shoulder crowd with their straight-up passion and bluesy vigour… A real band’s band, they play with the full body of their five-man strong lineup and focus on the basic elements that make a hard-working act tick.”
The Hello Morning’s new EP Tie That Binds was recorded at Red Rocket Studios in Melbourne, and produced by Dave Manton (Matt Walker, Gossling, Downhills Home). The EP takes the unique soul driven rock & roll of The Hello Morning to a whole new level. Featuring three brand new songs – ‘Tie That Binds’, ‘Stay Awake’ and ‘The Closer’ – the EP also includes a haunting duet of the Johnny Cash & June Carter classic ‘Jackson’ sung with this year’s Triple J Unearthed Laneway Festival winner, Ali Barter.
To support their new release the hard working sextet will be hitting stages in Melbourne, Canberra, and regional areas of New South Wales and Victoria. Don’t miss out.
