The National’s much anticipated Australian shows over New Year and early January just became even hotter tickets with the news that Townsville’s hotter than hot The Middle East will be their special guests. After playing gigs with The National in Germany as well as festivals such as Coachella, Sasquatch, Bonaroo, Glastonbury and T in the Park, the band is following up the massive success of their EP The Recordings of The Middle East with a debut album due for release in early 2011. Both Sydney shows are sold out – the last few tickets for the second Melbourne show are being snapped up FAST!
