Contradicting the maxim that ‘you’re only a good as your last album,’ The Strokes are still adored for an album they put out 10 years ago, selling out their upcoming Australian tour in a matter of minutes. Despite the last album being a stinker, the band’s shows on Thursday July 29th at the Hordern Pavilion, Sydney and Friday July 30th at Festival Hall in Melbourne are all sold out. No word on further shows except one can presume they will be playing Splendour In The Grass. In the meantime fans can start bidding on eBay or hoping their mates’ band gets the support.
