Glam-rock revivalists The Struts have announced a 3-date Australian tour for August this year, in celebration of their 2018 effort Young & Dangerous

British glam rock revivalists The Struts have announced their return to Australian shores for August this year.

The band were last in the country supporting divisive classic rock faithfuls Greta Van Fleet, winning over audiences hungry for unapologetically naff rock tunes.

The band are set to play shows at Melbourne’s Corner Hotel, Sydney’s Factory Theatre, and Brisbane’s The Triffid, in celebration of their 2018 full-length Young & Dangerous.

The Struts have cut their teeth on the live scene opening for legends like The Rolling Stones, The Who, Guns’n’Roses, Foo Fighters and Motley Crue – the ultimate training ground for up and coming rockers.

Last year Dave Grohl gave the band his personal tick of approval, noting that The Struts are the rock legend’s favourite band to have ever opened for Foo Fighters.

“I guess they don’t get a lot of love in England, but in America, they’re the best opening band we’ve ever had,” explained Dave Grohl.

“That kid Luke, the singer, it’s unbelievable. He’ll walk out in front of an audience in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where nobody has ever heard of them and by the end of the show he’ll have the entire audience in the palm of his hand,” he continued. “I love seeing that. To see an audience turn like that is not easy.”
