The Walking who, psychedelic rock trio Rohin Brown, Paul Mclean and Jay Drury, release their new EP ‘Mansions’.  It has already debuted in the Top 200 on the CMJ Charts and at No. 17 on the US Submodern Charts amongst bands such as Jagwar Ma, Queens of The Stone Age and Vampire Weekend.  The song “Rita” was also added instantly to FBI B Rotation upon delivery.

To record the new EP, the band occupied a space that has come to be known as the ‘mansion’ in Wollongong. The house built in the 60’s used to be home to a wealthy old lady who owned a theatre in town and who sadly passed away in the master bedroom.  Since then the ‘mansion’ came under the control of mostly students and artists and was transformed to more of an artistic playground.

The 5 new tracks really embody The Walking Who and their time in the house and like many of the strange and quirky items around the Mansion (roller skates, shoes and old furniture), it is another piece left behind by past occupants.

This was the last piece of art created from the space as the mansion was demolished at the end of August 2013.

The Walking Who ‘Mansions EP’ is out now via iTunes.
