Much loved by Aussie audiences, no doubt thanks to Triple J who seemed to play them every second song back in 2008, scruffy Liverpudlians The Wombats are making their much awaited return to Australia for the Groovin’ The Moo festivals. To cap it off, they’ve also announced their own headline shows around the country.
The band hit up The Tivoli Theatre in Brisbane on Tuesday 3 May, Enmore Theatre in Sydney on Monday 9 May, Melbourne’s Palais Theatre on Wednesday 11 May and The Gov in Adelaide on Thursday 12 May. Tickets for headline shows are on sale Tuesday 22nd February. The band’s much anticipated second album, This Modern Glitch is out in April and features last year’s UK Top 20 single “Tokyo (Vampires and Wolves)” and new single “Jump in the Fog,”
