The triple j Hottest 100 for 2018 is coming up in a little over a week, and our good triple j mates have issued a fresh reminder for y’all to get those votes in.
Kicking off on Sunday, January 27th, the 2018 Hottest 100 is set to be the biggest countdown to date. However, it’s looking like it could be a rather tight race for some acts hoping to scrape into this year’s poll.
“Right now, your vote could make the biggest difference to the outcome of the Hottest 100,” they posted. At this point in time, there are “three votes separating the songs currently sitting at #100 and #101.” No matter how you look at it, it’s coming down to the wire.

Of course, it’s nothing like the infamous event of 2007, which saw Muse top the countdown over Silverchair, beating the Aussie favourites by just 13 votes!
The big question now is who are you going to vote for? There are tens of thousands of votes sitting in the ABC votes vault just waiting for their righteous owners to bring them down to lists of just ten songs.
