To round off one of the most popular memes of 2018 – this mashup could be one of the greatest, if not ambitious crossovers in history.
Bill McClintock, a famed YouTube musician has taken it upon himself to craft the perfect pop-metal combo. The YouTuber has mashed-up David Bowie’s ‘Fame’ with Pantera’s ‘5 Minutes Alone’, culminating in an eclectic yet aggressive audible feast.
The mashup uses the jaunty, left of field funked-out instrumental of Bowie’s 1975 smash underneath Phil Anselmo’s signature growl. It’s groove-laden, fun and overall, straight up entertaining – check it out for yourself.

The Flaming Lips recently took it upon themselves to make David Bowie their own, covering his Christmas medley ‘Peace on Earth/Little Drummer Boy’, releasing the track with an accompanying psychedelic video.
