In very sad news, Tone Deaf hears that Peter ‘Sleazy’ Christopherson has passed away at his home in Bangkok, Thailand. Apart from being a member of legendary art-punk upstarts Throbbing Gristle, Christopherson was also a highly successful and influential operator of the design agency Hipgnosis, who created era defining record sleeve artwork in the ’70s for Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, as well as arguably one of the greatest record labels ever – Factory Records.

He also was the first person to take press photos for the Sex Pistols and formed the label Industrial Records with his bandmates Cosey Fanni Tutti, Chris Carter and Genesis P-Orridge. Valé to an amazing contributor to rock n’ roll from all of the Tone Deaf crew.
