Indie wunderkind Tones And I made waves a few weeks back with her debut single, and today she announces her debut Australian tour.
The Mornington Peninsula native has spent a little over year busking the streets of Byron Bay. Prior to releasing a single track, the multi-intrumentalist was already selling out shows nation-wide.
Now armed with her debut track, Tones has become somewhat of an overnight sensation. Only hours after uploading ‘Johnny Run Away’, the first cut was spun on national youth broadcaster triple j.

Within only a week of release, ‘Johnny Run Away’ was added to triple j rotation and is currently one of the station’s most played tracks. Tones And I has also just signed a co-management deal with Lemon Tree Music (Tash Sultana, Pierce Brothers, Riley Pearce), who will share the job with Artists Only.
This morning, Tone Deaf can exclusively reveal that Tones And I will embark on her first national tour this May. Tones will start in Melbourne, make a stop off at Queensland (including Big Pineapple Festival), and wrap it up in Sydney.
For those eager to jump on the Tones And I band-wagon, you better get in quick and pop along to a show. These are defs gonna sell out.
