It’s the video game responsible for about half the country’s high-school drop-outs. We speak, of course, of Tony Hawk Pro Skater. If you had a PlayStation, you had it. If you didn’t, you’d pretend to be friends with someone who did.

Just as good as the actual game was the soundtrack, which was perhaps the single greatest alternative music recruitment tool since the Warped Tour. It introduced an entire generation of kids to punk rock, pop punk, hardcore, and heavy metal.

But we always felt like there was a definite dearth of Australian bands on the track list. It seems the folks at triple j felt the same way and they’ve now unveiled an all-Aussie Tony Hawk Pro Skater soundtrack.

The entire thing, which you can check via the Unearthed website here, is stocked with Unearthed bands, including some of our absolute favourites likes Columbus, Koi Child, Pitt the Elder, These New South Wales, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, and more.
