The Masked Singer, the self-proclaimed “most ridiculous show on TV”, has shocked and rocked audiences since premiering late last month. In case you missed it, the show features a bunch of lavishly masked celebrities battling it out on the mic, with the losers forced to reveal their true identity. Also Lindsay Lohan is on the judging panel, for some reason.

In Tuesday night’s episode, country singer Adam Brand was revealed to be the man behind the dragon. So far, a smattering of other celebrities have been unmasked. These include ex-Big Brother host Gretel Killeen and sportsmen Brett Lee and Wendell Sailor.

Hints to the celebs’ identities are dropped along the way, and the latest bunch are setting social media off big time.

Who’s next?

If Twitter is to be believed, pop singer and Marcia Hines’ daughter, Deni Hines, is masquerading as the unicorn on the new show.

Indeed, all signs do be pointing to Hines as the true identity of the unicorn. A reference to her famous bloodline checks out – Hines’ mother Marcia needs no introduction. A clue that unicorn’s early career was “rocky” seems to be a reference to Hines’ band, The Rockmelons.

As Twitter has pointed out, unicorn’s body language is classic Hines, and her smooth alto voice fits Deni’s immaculately.

Social media is rife with other guesses as to singers’ identities. Musical theatre mainstay Rob Mills (wolf), Cody Simpson (robot) and Kate Ceberano (lion) are among the names lighting up social media.

However, fans will have to wait until October 14th to find out another masked creature’s true identity. With only six masked singers left, the competition is heating up. Let’s just say for The Masked Singer, it will be all Guns(berg) blazing until the end.
