U2 announce second and final Sydney show for Aussie tour

Tickets only went on sale today, but already U2 are proving their upcoming tour is going to be one of their biggest ever.

U2 announce 30th anniversary edition of classic album ‘Achtung Baby’

U2 have expanded their Aussie tour, announcing a second and final show in Sydney.

Late last month, U2 revealed that they would be bringing their highly-anticipated The Joshua Tree tour to Aussie shores.

Supported by Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, the tour is set to be the band’s first in almost a decade, and will feature the Irish rockers performing their iconic 1987 album in full.

Earlier today, tickets to this long-awaited tour finally went on sale, and almost immediately, it was proven just how much of an in-demand group U2 still are, more than 40 years after they first formed.

Announced this afternoon, U2’s first Sydney show has sold out, with the group announcing a second and final performance for the following evening. Amazingly, this news also follows the revelation that a second Auckland performance had been added to the New Zealand leg of the tour, following a similar sell-out there.

While it remains to be seen whether or not more Australian performances are set to sell out, it goes without saying that it’s best not to leave things up to chance.

If you’re keen on checking out U2 on their first visit to Australia since 2010, then make sure you hit up the Live Nation website to secure your tickets for what is bound to be one of the year’s biggest tours.
