21-year-old rapper Bankroll Gambino has reportedly been shot and killed while taking part in the filming of a music video in Philadelphia.

As Fox News reports, Ezra Weah (who performs under the name Bankroll Gambino) was one of ten people filming a music video in southwest Philadelphia on Sunday night when two people reportedly exited a car and began shooting.

Weah was pronounced dead at the scene having suffered gunshot wounds to the head, while five others were taken to a nearby hospital, with one remaining in critical condition.

“They were about to shoot a rap video when someone, a couple of people, came and shot one or more or persons,” explained Philadelphia Police Commissioner Richard Ross.

“These [were] all very young men. Sadly this is what we see over and over again, but, you know, hopefully, we’ll get someone to step forward because these are the type of incidents where we do worry about retaliation.”

“I didn’t know what it was, I thought it was the TV or something,” witness Chris Griffin explained to FOX29.

“Once everybody ran into the kitchen and they didn’t hear the shots anymore, they went to go check and see what it was. When they looked outside, all you just heard was my aunt scream.”

While police have stated that no suspects have been identified in the shooting, they believe the motive may be related to an earlier incident that same day which reportedly saw shots fired at Ezra Weah as well.

ABC News reports that while Weah had previously been arrested four times, a loaded .380 caliber handgun was found on his body, having been stolen in a 2013 burglary.
